| YO! 6/24/2010 Hi there Johnny F Baker hear, well things are going OK, I have been busy working in the old train station, I have been ripping out the old apartment that we lived in for 30 years & turning it in to a railroad museum. Its hard work since I lost my leg to cancer & can only walk on couches for a short time, so I do most of the work from my wheel chair. But it even surprises how much work I can get done from a wheel chair. I get little sleep tho, the arthritis in my arms & shoulders is painful , but I am just glad I can get it done at all. I hope to have it open for the haunted train in Oct. Of course I will not have the old depot back in its original condition for years if ever but it’s a start. My big problem is I have to come up with $10.000 for the new medial roofs or the old train station will not last long, I need a $80.000 dollar loan on Bakers Junction Railroad Museum but cant get one. I am steel paying off $70.000 of the $100.00 it cost me to fight off the Bloomington Monroe Co. Communist planing $ zoning pinheads illegal attack of 1995 when they had me in court & planing $ zoning meetings for 3 years they tried to force me to close & get red of the railroad museum, because under the new communist p$z dictatorship nothing is aloud to be out in the county, ever thing has to be in town or close to IU. But when I start the railroad museum in 1976 I got the right zoning permits & planing $ zoning approval so they could not force me to close or move, but they did force me in to bank ruptcy. In 4 or 5 years I will have a lot of me debts payed off but the roofs cant weigh that long. I am grateful I remodeled the box car apartment the year be for I lost my leg & we have a little comfortable place to live. Bloomington & Monroe Co. Is steel a good place to live, but with it bad leader ship, there trying to run the working people out of the county & force people to live in side Bloomington. I started Bakers Junction Railroad Museum 10 miles out to get a way form the control freaks but now they have taken over all of Monroe CO. IN. But at lest I proved in court I have the right zoning & all the right permits & they cant attack me aging. But what a waist, all I want is to spend my life saving & fixing up the railroad museum, live on my own land & mind my own business, but thats not aloud in Bloomington & Monroe Co. Any more. But I will be hear till I am dead & gone working to save Bakers Junction Railroad Museum & friendly people are welcome. Johnny F Baker 7898 Fairfax RD. Smithville IN. 47401 Phone 812 824 21585 |
| BAKERsJUNCTION RAILROAD MUSEUM Smithville Indiana. I am Johnny F Baker a 100% disabled veteran, I survived bone cancer but I lost my leg & had over 30 operations, so I am lucky to be hear. I started Bakers Junction Railroad Museum in 1976, to save some old trains & train stations from being destroyed. I though if the cancer killed me some one would take over & if I lived I would have something to do when I was old. It took 4 mounts & all the money I had saved in the Navy $5000.00, to get planing $ zoning approval, the right zoning & permits to start the RxR Museum. Over the next 20 years I moved in 2 century old train station 3 cabooses 5 train cars a wind mill a water tower & more & I had it all sat up & I got married & had 3 kids. I had collected a train station full of RXR Antiques for the RXR Museum & RxR Station full of Antique to open a antique shop. I was amazed at how much I gotten done, But with all my medical problems & working so hard for so meant years I was just getting to crippled up to work any more, But Bakers Junction RXR Museum was all payed off & ready to open, Things where looking good. BUT then A tragedy struck that would destroy & take away ever thing. The Bloomington Monroe Co. Planing $ zoning pinheads, past a NEW MASTER PLAIN, they decided a RXR Museum 10 miles out in the county was a detriment to Monroe Co. IN. As a whole, that it had to move in to Bloomington, or be destroyed & removed form Monroe County. It had taken me 20 years to sat up Bakers Junction RXR Museum & now that I was old & crippled up, It would be impossible for me to move it all aging. Even tho we had the right zoning permits & p$z approval ! The P$z pinheads took us to court & p$z meetings for 3 years to force us off our land & to get read of Bakers Junction RXR Museum ? We won if you can call losing ever thing we owned & being forced in to bank ruptcy & going from owning nothing, to being in Debt over $100.000. Now in stead of spending the rest of my life painting & fixing up the RXR Museum, I will be paying off what it cost me to defend my legal right to save & sat up a RXR Museum. I am proud to be an American Vet & my country has Ben good to me ! But I am ashamed of the leader ship we have in Bloomington & Monroe CO. IN. Its hard to believe they would illegally attack & destroy a crippled Vet &his family, because he spent his life saving & sating up A RXR Museum? But that is just what they did. But we survived, Bakers Junction RXR Museum will never be as good as it would have been & we will be suffering & paying for what they did to us for the rest of my life, But Bakers Junction RxR Museum is steal heat & Friendly people are welcome to stop by any time & we have our Haunted Train fund raiser in Oct.
